China Eastern Airlines will officially launch "Shanghai Pudong–Zurich" direct flight service on June 18, 2026. This marks the carrier's second route to Switzerland, following the successful launch of the "Shanghai–Geneva" route last year. With the "dual-point service" to Switzerland's two core cities of Geneva and Zurich, China Eastern Airlines has further enhanced its air corridor between China and Europe, providing a more convenient "air bridge" for economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchanges, and tourism between China and Switzerland.
China Eastern Airlines' "Shanghai–Zurich" round-trip route will be operated under flight number MU255/256, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. The outbound flight MU255 will depart from Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 01:55 Beijing time and arrive at Zurich International Airport at 07:55 local time. The return flight MU256 will depart at 14:05 local time and arrive at Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 06:40 Beijing time the next day.
