On May 16 and 17, Ezhou Huahu International Airport successively launched two cargo routes, flying to Prague, Czech Republic, and Hahn, Germany, further expanding its air logistics network to Europe. The routes connect key economic hubs in Central and Eastern Europe as well as Western Europe, broadening the China-Europe air cargo network.
On May 16, the “Ezhou–Prague” route successfully made its maiden flight, operated by Central Airlines. It is scheduled to operate once per week, with a one-way cargo capacity of nearly 100 tonnes. Outbound cargo primarily consists of cross-border e-commerce goods and consumer products, while inbound cargo mainly includes general cargo and mechanical equipment such as spectrometers.
At 05:32 AM on May 17, the “Ezhou–Hahn” route departed directly from Ezhou Huahu Airport to Hahn, Germany. The route is operated by a Boeing 777F freighter, with two flights per week, providing over 10,000 tonnes of annual air cargo capacity for Ezhou Huahu Airport. Outbound cargo mainly comprises e-commerce goods and electronic products, while inbound cargo includes general cargo and fresh produce.
