At 4:19 a.m. on June 3, Air Astana flight KC8217 landed smoothly at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, marking the official launch of the Astana–Guangzhou route. This is Air Astana's second direct route to Guangzhou, following the Almaty–Guangzhou route launched at the end of March 2025.
Two weekly flights operates on the Astana–Guangzhou route by the latest generation Airbus A321LR. Flight KC8217 departs from Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport in Astana at 18:45 every Tuesday and Thursday, arriving at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 4:30 the next day, with a flight time of approximately 6 hours and 45 minutes. The return flight, KC8218, departs from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 5:45 every Wednesday and Friday, arriving at Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport in Astana at 10:10, with a flight time of approximately 7 hours and 25 minutes (all times stated above are local times).
