Hainan Airlines plans to launch the Haikou–Chongqing–Madrid international route on June 20, 2026. The launch of this route will further promote the economic, trade, cultural, and people-to-people exchanges between China and Europe.
The Haikou–Chongqing–Madrid international route is scheduled to operate one round-trip flight per week. The outbound flight from Haikou is scheduled for every Saturday, and the inbound flight from Madrid for every Sunday. The outbound flight departs from Haikou Meilan International Airport at 21:10 Beijing time, makes a stop at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 23:25, departs from Chongqing at 02:25 the next day, and arrives at Madrid Barajas International Airport at 09:00 local time.
