On July 3, China Eastern Airlines launched round-trip direct flights between Xi'an Xianyang International Airport and Seoul Incheon International Airport. The new service fills a gap in the carrier's direct air links from Xi'an to Northeast Asia and broadens flight options for passengers from Northwest China traveling to the Republic of Korea.
Operated by Airbus A320 aircraft, the route runs four weekly flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The outbound flight MU853 departs from Xi'an at 14:50 and arrives at Seoul Incheon at 18:40 local time. The return flight MU854 takes off from Seoul at 19:40 local time and lands in Xi'an at 22:00.
