At 20:35 local time on July 17, Flight CA893 touched down smoothly at Manas International Airport in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, marking the official launch of Air China's direct service linking Beijing Capital International Airport and Bishkek. This is Air China's first non-stop air route connecting the capitals of China and Kyrgyzstan, filling the long-standing void of direct air connectivity between Beijing Capital Airport and Bishkek. The new service will further deepen bilateral cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and elevate China-Kyrgyzstan connectivity to a new stage.
Operated by Airbus A321 aircraft, the route runs every Monday, Friday and Sunday, with a single flight duration of approximately 5.5 hours.
Kyrgyzstan holds the rotating presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) this year and will host the annual SCO Summit in Bishkek. Timely launched, the new air corridor facilitates regional multilateral cooperation and sustains steady progress in China-Kyrgyzstan friendly collaboration.
