At 14:52 on 15 September, Air Changan Flight 9H8383 took off from Yichang Sanxia International Airport, marking the successful inauguration of the airport's direct international route to Manila, the Philippines.
Since 11 September, Yichang Sanxia Airport has achieved a new breakthrough in the expansion of its international routes, successively launching three international passenger routes: Yichang–Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Yichang–Khabarovsk (Russia) and Yichang–Manila (the Philippines). These routes have further strengthened Yichang's air links with Southeast Asia and Russia's Far East, and highlighted the advantage of western Hubei area as an "air gateway" for opening up.
