China Southern Airlines will launch a new Guangzhou–Changsha–Addis Ababa international route on October 12, operating twice a week with Boeing 787 wide-body aircraft. Following the Changsha–Nairobi route, this is the second direct route between Hunan and Africa operated by China Southern Airlines, marking a new air corridor that further enhances Belt and Road air connectivity between China and Africa.
The Guangzhou–Changsha–Addis Ababa route will operate on Mondays and Fridays. Outbound flight CZ8095 departs Changsha at 13:50 and arrives in Addis Ababa at 20:00; return flight CZ8096 departs Addis Ababa at 23:00, arrives in Changsha at 15:10 the following day, departs Changsha at 17:10, and arrives in Guangzhou at 18:45.
