The flight schedule for the 2016/2017 winter and spring season is scheduled to be implemented from October 30, 2016 to March 25, 2017.
According to the winter and spring flight schedule, domestic airlines are scheduled to operate a total of 59 121 domestic flights per week, up by 7.6 % year on year, including 57 674 passenger flights, up by 7.8 % year on year, and 1 447 cargo flights, a slight increase over last year. Air China and 33 other airlines are scheduled to operate flights on 222 newly-opened domestic routes.
A total of 2 178 passenger and cargo flights have been scheduled between 41 service points of the Mainland and Hong Kong per week. 472 passenger flights have been scheduled between 22 service points of the Mainland and Macao per week. 1 410 passenger flights have been scheduled between 55 service points of the Mainland and 5 service points in the Taiwan region, including Taiwan Taoyuan Airport per week. 110 cargo flights have been scheduled between 9 service points of the Mainland and Taiwan Taoyuan Airport per week.
Domestic airlines are scheduled to operate 9 996 international flights a week, connecting to 153 cities of 57 countries, among which, Adelaide, Kitakyushu, Chennai, Kalibo, Johor Bahru and Mexico City are newly-added destinations. 88 new international routes are scheduled to be opened.
139 airlines of 62 countries are scheduled to operate 6 676 flights from 121 international cities to 52 Chinese cities per week. 20 new international routes are scheduled to be opened.
