On February 15, CAAC Administrator Feng Zhenglin made an inspection tour of China Airport Construction Group Corporation (CACC).

Feng visited an exhibition showcasing the achievements of CACC, greeted the staff of the company, and debriefed the head on the company’s work. Feng said, “Civil aviation is an important strategic industry in our country, and infrastructure, not least airport construction, is the cornerstone for civil aviation development.” He also said, “CACC boasts a long history, a high level of expertise and highly qualified employees. It has been doing fairly well and rapidly expanding into international markets, effectively supporting the national strategy and making due contributions to the goal of building China into a country with a strong civil aviation industry.”

Feng Zhenglin stressed that China’s civil aviation industry is developing so rapidly that there is a huge demand for airport design and construction, which requires further liberalization of the civil aviation engineering design market to develop an effective competition system and accommodate market demand. Feng urged CACC to earnestly push forward reform and development so as to grow bigger and stronger, under the guidance of the goal of “building China into a country with a strong civil aviation industry” and with deepening civil aviation reform as the driving force.
