In order to further push forward the cooperation with Civil Aviation Division (MOT) of Tonga, develop bilateral civil aviation ties and support safe and smooth operation of Modern Arc 60 (MA 60) aircraft which were produced in China and provided to Tonga as assistance, from February 22 to 24, CAAC Deputy Administrator Li Jian paid a visit to Tonga at invitation. Li exchanged views with Tonga’s ministry of infrastructure on how to deepen cooperation in the field of oversight of civil aviation operation safety, and signed the Memorandum of Continuing Cooperation in Civil Aviation Safety between the Tonga Ministry of Infrastructure (Civil Aviation Division) and Civil Aviation Administration of China.

During his visit, Li held talks with Tonga’s Deputy Prime Minister Siaosi Sovaleni. They exchanged views on how to further develop China-Tonga civil aviation ties. Li also listened to the introduction to AVIC’s business in Tonga, and visited local airlines which operate MA 60 and Y12 aircraft.
