CAAC and Government of French Polynesia Sign Letter of Intent on Deepening Civil Aviation Cooperation10/03/2017

At the invitation of the government of French Polynesia, CAAC Deputy Administrator Li Jian headed a delegation to French Polynesia on February 24-26, 2017. He signed a letter of intent on deepening cooperation in civil aviation with édouard Fritch, president of French Polynesia, advanced the implementation of the cooperation arrangements contained in the M.O.U of 2014 between civil aviation authorities of the two sides, encouraged Chinese enterprises to invest in the development of civil aviation in French Polynesia, and reached agreement on cooperation in aviation safety management with respect to the export of civil aircraft manufactured in china to French Polynesia.

During the visit, the delegation held talks with French High Commissioner of the Republic in French Polynesia, President of French Polynesia, tourism and civil aviation agencies of French Polynesia, representative of French CAA, local airport operators, Air Tahiti, Air Tahiti Nui, and Air France, and exchanged views on cooperation in the development of civil aviation between China and French Polynesia.
