On September 1, CAAC officially launched an online pre-flight plan declaration system for foreign airlines and airlines from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

This system allows foreign airlines and airlines from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan to submit online their application for scheduled flights, extra flights, chartered flights, scheduled overflying flights and air routes. Airlines can finish submitting their application for flight plan by logging into system and inputting relevant information, and track and view application progress.

Person in-charge of CAAC Operation Monitoring Center stated that online declaration system, launched as an essential part of CAAC’s efforts in reinforcing and improving administrative review and approval, could contribute to further streamlining pre-flight plan review and approval flow, enhancing review and approval efficiency, as well as tightening pre-flight plan management. In the meantime, online declaration will gradually replace the practice of submitting flight plan application via air telegraph, which will ultimately lead to online application for all pre-flight plans.
