China and Portugal Expand Bilateral Traffic Rights Arrangements13/12/2017

CAAC Deputy Administrator Wang Zhiqing signed a memorandum of understanding with Luis Miguel Ribeiro, Chairman of the Board, Portuguese Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC) during the talks between Chinese civil aviation delegation and their Portuguese counterpart in Lisbon on November 27-28. According to the bilateral agreement, to meet the growing demands of China-Portugal air transport market, passenger and cargo transport flights will be increased from 3 per week to 21 per week, a third airline designated by China is allowed to operate routes between China and Porto, and a more free and open bilateral air transport agreement will be signed on such basis as soon as possible.

Currently, Capital Airlines operates a direct passenger transport route of Hangzhou-Beijing-Lisbon (three flights per week).
