On January 9, CAAC Administrator Feng Zhenglin met with Fidèle Dimou, Minister of Transport, Civil Aviation and Merchant Marine of Congo, and his associates in Beijing by appointment. The two parties exchanged views on enhancing civil aviation cooperation, and officially signed the Civil Air Services Agreement between the Government of Republic of Congo and the Government of People’s Republic of China.
The air services agreement between the governments of China and Congo is the fundamental legal basis to establish aviation connections between the two countries, therefore, inking the agreement will lay the legal foundation to develop bilateral civil aviation relations and facilitate airlines in China and Congo to launch routes. The agreement will contribute to the development of closer aviation connections, trade and economic cooperation and personnel exchanges between China and Congo.
By far, China has signed inter-governmental air services agreement with 123 countries and regions.
