On February 7, CAAC Deputy Administrator Wang Zhiqing met with a delegation led by Chu Kwok Leung, Chairman of Swire Group (China) and Non-Executive Director of Cathay in Beijing. During the meeting, Wang Zhiqing expressed that under the guideline of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, CAAC would continuously introduce measures and reinforce guidance to vigorously support and encourage all-round exchanges and cooperation in civil aviation between Mainland China and Hong Kong. He hoped that in the year of 2018, the civil aviation authorities of Mainland China and Hong Kong would stick to the philosophy of “Innovation, Coordination, Integration and Win-Win Progress”, leverage on the opportunities brought forth by the Belt and Road Initiative, especially by the development of Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macao Great Bay Area so as to realize quality development of the cooperation between Mainland China and Hong Kong and make positive contribution to the long-term economic prosperity and social stability of Hong Kong under the “one country, two systems.”
