During the 2018 Spring Festival holiday (February 15-21), the civil aviation industry of China transported 11.40 million passengers, with a year-on-year increase of 16.1%. The average flight regularity rate reached 90.95% with a year-on-year growth of 6.1%. Over 15.16 million seats were provided and the average passenger load factor stood at more than 80% since February 18.

Data on departure flights in major cities monitored by CAAC show the outbound passengers during the holiday were mainly in hot-spot tourist cities and cities attracting migrant workers for work including Haikou, Sanya, Xishuangbanna, Huangshan, Jinggangshan, Zhangjiajie, Lijiang, Chengdu, Luoyang, Harbin, Changchun, Nanjing, Zhengzhou, Shenyang, Wuyishan, Ji’nan, Urumqi, and Ningbo.
