On February 23, CAAC held a video meeting on support for major conferences, making a periodic summary of support for 2018 Spring Festival Travel Rush, and mobilized and made arrangements on transport support for 2018 NPC and CPPCC. CAAC Deputy Administrator Wang Zhiqing underscored that entities in the civil aviation industry should have a good understanding of the characteristics of major tasks of support for the remaining days of 2018 Spring Festival Travel Rush and for NPC and CPPCC. He also demanded that they effectively strengthen their consciousness of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core and keep in alignment, improve political stance, strengthen organization and leadership and implement responsibility to ensure safety, arrange work in an accurate way and provide quality services, thereby securing the safety and stability of overall operations of the civil aviation industry and smooth and orderly transport support for NPC and CPPCC.

Up to February 21, the civil aviation industry of China has supported 318 000 flights of various kinds and transported 33.94 million passengers during the 2018 Spring Festival Travel Rush, with a respective year-on-year increase of 10.6% and 11.7%. The flight regularity rate stood at 80.27%, with a year-on-year growth of 5.42%.
