On March 22, the Symposium on Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) was held in Chongqing. During the Symposium, discussion was held on the “Regulations on the Implementation of Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) System (Draft for Comments)” jointly drafted by CAAC Operation Monitoring Center and the China Civil Airports Association, and participants shared their respective experiences related to the research and development of A-CDM systems.
It’s pointed out during the Symposium that promoting the development of A-CDM systems was a key task identified at the 2018 National Civil Aviation Working Conference, and also an essential enabler for enhanced ability to monitor civil aviation operation information. Promoting the development of A-CDM systems will facilitate the achievement of better quality and higher efficiency in terms of airport operation, and improve the on-time performance and service quality of civil flights. At present, airports that have implemented A-CDM systems have achieved remarkable results in terms of overall operational efficiency and flight regularity.
It’s underscored during the Symposium that, in accordance with the overall plan by CAAC, airports with an annual passenger traffic of over 30 million and 10 million must have put in place A-CDM systems respectively by the end of 2018 and 2019, which should be connected with the operation data sharing platform of CAAC Operation Monitoring Center and the ATM CDM system.
