CAAC Administrator Feng Zhenglin led a delegation to Cote d'Ivoire on June 25, 2018, and had bilateral aviation talks with the Minister of Transport Amadou Kone. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on strengthening civil aviation cooperation in various fields, and launching routes and flights between the two countries as soon as possible, and signed the Air Services Agreement between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the government of Republic of C?te d'Ivoire (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement). Till now, China has signed governmental air services agreements with more than 124 countries and regions.
The Agreement is the fundamental legal basis for establishing aviation links between China and Cote d'Ivoire. The conclusion of the Agreement will lay a legal foundation for the two countries to develop civil aviation relations, and to facilitate the launching of flights by airlines from the two sides, as well as to conduct business cooperation. It will help promote closer aviation ties, increase the level of connectivity, and promote sustainable development of economic and trade cooperation and people to people exchanges between the two countries as well as between China and Africa.
