Feng Zhenglin Visited Israel to Promote Innovative Cooperation in Civil Aviation13/07/2018

From June 30 to July 2, 2018, CAAC Administrator Feng Zhenglin led a delegation to Israel where he held talks with the Director General of Civil Aviation Authority of Israel Joel Feldschuh and signed a new Memorandum of Understanding on traffic right arrangements aiming at launching new routes and increasing flights between the two countries. Both sides agreed that civil aviation cooperation between the two countries is wide and full of potentials. All-round, practical and innovative cooperation at various levels are expected to be carried out in such areas as air transport, airworthiness certification, UAS operation and management, aviation security technology and airspace management, making new contributions to the people to people exchanges and the development of bilateral relations.

During the visit, CAAC delegation visited Ben Gurion International Airport and surveyed the aviation security measures adopted at the airport. Also, the delegation visited EL AL Israel Airlines.

Currently, Chinese and Israeli airlines are operating a total of 10 direct flights between the two countries, connecting Beijing and Shanghai with Tel Aviv. Chinese airlines are developing plans on the recent launch of direct round-trip flights from Chengdu, Guangzhou and Shenzhen to Tel Aviv.
