On July 4, to commemorate the 97th anniversary of the founding of CPC, CAAC held a Civil Aviation Commendation Conference and Party Class in Beijing, during which awards were presented to the outstanding workers of party affairs, outstanding party members, and advanced primary-level party organizations. Feng Zhenglin, Party Group Secretary and Administrator of CAAC, attended the conference and delivered a party class report on learning and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialist Economy with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and striving to build a strong civil aviation powerhouse in the new era. Members of Party Group and Deputy Administrators of CAAC Li Jian, Dong Zhiyi, and Lyu Erxue attended the meeting. Li Jian announced the commendation decision of the Party Group and Dong Zhiyi presided over the meeting.

Feng Zhenglin pointed out that it is necessary to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialist Economy with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and strive to promote the building of a strong civil aviation powerhouse in the new era. First, we must continue to focus on safe development. Second, we must firmly seize the promising period of historic opportunity for development. Third, we must actively serve the national strategy. Fourth, we must comprehensively improve the quality of service. Fifth, we must focus on optimizing the industry structure. Sixth, we must constantly strengthen the development momentum. And last, we must earnestly strengthen Party leadership and Party building.

Feng Zhenglin emphasized that the key to achieve high-quality development of civil aviation and to promote the building of a civil aviation powerhouse lies in the development of a team of high-quality and professional officials. We must conscientiously implement the guiding principles from the National Conference on Organizational Work and from relevant documents of the central government, and develop a team of officials both politically strong and highly competent.

Outstanding party members, workers of party affairs and advanced primary-level party organization delegates in civil aviation industry, CAAC Chief Engineer, Inspector General of Aviation Safety, all party members of various CAAC departments attended the meeting at the main conference hall, and all party members of CAAC Regional Administrations as well as Safety Supervision and Management Bureaus, leaders of entities affiliated to CAAC and heads of their party offices attended a remote video conference meeting.
