China Signs Air Service Agreement with Rwanda06/08/2018

In the presence of Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Rwanda President Paul Kagame, CAAC Administrator Feng Zhenglin and Rwanda Minister of Infrastructure Claver Gatete signed the Air Services Agreement between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Rwanda (the Agreement) in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. Till now, China has signed intergovernmental air services agreements with 125 countries and regions.

The Agreement constitutes the fundamental legal basis for establishing air connections between China and Rwanda. The conclusion of the Agreement will lay a legal foundation for the two countries to develop civil aviation relations, facilitate the launching of flights by airlines from the two sides, and conduct business cooperation. Also, it will help promote closer aviation ties, increase the level of connectivity, and promote sustainable development of economic and trade cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries as well as between China and Africa.
