On September 27 and 28, CAAC Deputy Administrator Lyu Erxue led a working team to Shenzhen to visit the National Civil Aviation Public Security Big Data Operation & Training Center (the center). He emphasized that the building and the operation of the center should be strengthened to enhance digitalized aviation security across the country. He expressed that the building of smart aviation security is an important and effective way to promote high-quality aviation security. Everyone in the center should be perseverant and be down to earth when working and strive to make greater contributions to the building of China into a civil aviation powerhouse in the new era.

Lyu Erxue and the team went to the Shenzhen Baoan International Airport, and examined the application of new aviation security technologies such as facial recognition and differentiated security checks, and investigated the building and operation of the center. They also held a symposium at the Public Security Bureau at the airport.

Lyu Erxue indicated in the symposium that the center has been making active efforts to develop new working mechanism, strengthen the research and application of new technologies, initiate a new mode of in-depth cooperation between civil aviation public security and local bureaus, explore new ways of security data application, and stimulate the application of technological innovation in civil aviation security. As a new and highlighted project, the center has been a strong support for aviation security and public security, and has given fully play to the role of technology in safety. Under the leadership of the center, the application of civil aviation big data is now in the forefront of the industry and has gained actual results.

During the stay in Shenzhen, Lyu Erxue and his team also visited SF Express, and carried out on-site study of differentiated security checks of cargo.
