During the National Day holiday of 2018 (October 1-7), civil aviation operation was safe and stable with a total of 110,920 flights, representing a year-on-year increase of 6.1%, and a daily average of 15,846 flights. The passenger traffic reached 12.227 million, a year-on-year increase of 8.7%. Flight regularity rate reached 92.8%, up by 8.4 percentage points year-on-year. The average passenger load factor exceeded 85%.

According to the data of originating flights of major cities in China monitored by the CAAC, the airports with relatively high passenger load factor during the National Day holiday are in Beijing, Shanghai, Xishuangbanna, Lijiang, Shenzhen, Lhasa, Hangzhou, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Changsha, Nanchang, Chongqing, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Zhengzhou, Wuxi and other city origins and destinations of tourists. From October 1 to 3, the average passenger load factor of departure flights in Lhasa, Ningbo, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Beijing, Shijiazhuang, Chongqing and Zhengzhou exceeded 91%; from October 5 to 7, the average passenger load factor of departure flights in Xishuangbanna, Guilin, Jinggangshan and Sanya exceeded 92%.

In terms of overall transportation volume, the passenger traffic slowly declined after the peak of October 1st, and October 3 to 4 were the bottom of the holiday transport. On October 6 to 7, the passenger traffic reached another peak at the end of the holiday.
