On November 2, witnessed by President Xi Jinping and President Medina, CAAC Administrator Feng Zhenglin and Foreign Minister Miguel Vargas of the Dominican Republic signed the Air Services Agreement between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of the Dominican Republic (the Agreement) in Beijing. By far, China has signed inter-government air services agreement with 126 states and regions.

The agreement will service as the fundamental legal basis to build aviation connectivity between China and Dominica. Signing of the Agreement will lay a legal foundation for the two countries to develop civil aviation relations, facilitate Chinese and Dominican airlines to launch routes and flights, and carry out business cooperation, and will be conducive to the establishment of closer aviation ties and improved connectivity between the two countries, and to the sustainable trade and economic cooperation and personal exchanges between China and Dominica and the whole Latin America and the Caribbean region.
