From November 22 to 24, CAAC Deputy Administrator Li Jian visited Switzerland with a civil aviation delegation, and signed MOUs on cooperation separately with the Federal Office of Civil Aviation and the International Air Transport Association.

Li Jian and the Federal Office of Civil Aviation held talks on initiating civil aviation safety cooperation between the two governments, starting the process towards the signing of bilateral aviation safety agreement and implementation procedures for airworthiness, and strengthening UAS management. They also signed an MOU on civil aviation safety cooperation, which will lay the foundation for deeper and broader cooperation between the two sides, and will also create an enabling bilateral environment for the exchanges and cooperation of aeronautical products and industries in the two countries. The Chinese delegation also visited Pilatus Aircraft to learn the design and manufacture of the Swiss general aviation aircraft.

During the visit in Switzerland, the Chinese delegation also held talks with the International Air Transport Association. The two sides had an in-depth discussion on how to strengthen the ties in civil aviation safety, especially how to carry out cooperation in the oversight and audit of the operation safety of airlines, collection of safety information, and training of safety and air traffic management personnel. The two sides signed an MOU, and exchanged views on how to carry out specific cooperation in the next step.
