On November 26-27, Chinese civil aviation delegation, led by CAAC Deputy Administrator Li Jian, visited Namibia and held talks with Namibian Civil Aviation Authority on launching cooperation in civil aviation between the two governments, supporting export of China-made planes to Namibia and their safe operation, and facilitating cooperation between air transport companies from the two countries, and signed MOU on cooperation in civil aviation safety. The MOU will lay a solid foundation for the two civil aviation authorities to carry out broader and deeper cooperation and create a good bilateral environment for cooperation between civil aviation enterprises of the two countries.

Namibia is a major partner of China. The visit, following the establishment of a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership?between Namibia and China this March and Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation this September, is an important measure to further strengthen cooperation in civil aviation safety between the two countries.
