Beijing Capital International Airport handled the 100 millionth passenger of the year on December 28 as the Air China flight CA 932 landed in Beijing from Frankfurt, Germany. It marks that the airport hit its 100-million annual passenger throughput milestone, and became the first airport in China, and the second in the world, after Atlanta Airport of US, to reach this traffic scale. Deputy Administrator Dong Zhiyi attended the celebration event and delivered a speech.

It is known that the Capital Airport is the only major international hub in China that has three terminal buildings, three runways and two towers operating at the same time. Nowadays, 105 airlines connect the airport with 296 airports in 65 countries and regions around the world, including 160 domestic (including regional) destinations and 136 international destinations.
