Realizing safe, smooth and friendly travel for passengers has always been a work priority of Feng. He first came to the Operation Monitoring and Commanding Center of Capital Airport to visit the staff on duty and learn about the weather and flight operation conditions on the first lunar New Year’s Day. “At this time on the first day of Chinese New Year when families get together, thank you all for your hard work, and wish you the best for the new year!” said Feng. And after learning that traffic during that day at Capital Airport is expected to exceed 1500 flights and the ATC clearance regularity rate will be about 97% for morning flights, Feng pointed out that flight regularity rate is an important index to realize high-quality development of civil aviation, and it represents operational efficiency and service performance of the industry, “I hope that you could all keep on the good work, insist on coordination to improve operational efficiency and work harder on sincere service to bring better travel experience for passengers.”

In addition to passenger travel, Feng also bore in mind the contributions by the front-line civil aviation staff on-duty during the Spring Festival. He respectively came to the T1, T2 and T3 terminals of Capital Airport to visit crew members of Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines. In 2018, transport aviation in China registered a new record of 100 months, or 68.36 million hours of safe operation in a roll, which could not be achieved without the hard work and contributions of the flight crews day in and day out. Besides festival greetings, Feng also encouraged all, saying “I hope that in the new year, by working on flight by flight and link by link, you could guarantee safer and smoother flight operation!” Feng also presented festival gifts for aircraft maintenance personnel, saying that “you are the important foundation to safeguard flight safety, hope that you will all continue to work on the basics and make greater contributions to flight safety.”

At the western tower of China North Regional Air Traffic Management Bureau, Feng Zhenglin asked about the details of flight support conditions during the Spring Festival and sent New Year wishes to the controllers on-duty.

Feng also visited the staff at work of resident units including customs, border control, inspection and quarantine and armed police, and delivered festival greetings.

After that, Feng and his associates also came to Beijing Daxing International Airport and visited the terminal building under construction to greet builders at work during the festival. He thanked the builders for giving up the opportunity to reunite with their families but instead choosing to stay at the construction front-line, and delivered festival greetings to them on behalf of CAAC Party Group.
