On April 2, Dong Zhiyi, Deputy Administrator of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, led a delegation to Hong Kong to attend the 4th Aviation Silk Road International Conference and delivered a keynote speech entitled “Adhering to the Principle of Pursuing Shared Growth through Consultation and Collaboration, and Devoting to the Building of Aviation Silk Road”. Leung Chunying, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC and Chairperson of Hong Kong Center of Belt and Road International Cooperation and Chen Yuan, initiator of the conference, Vice Chairman of 12th CPPCC and Chairman of Planning and Research Center for Silk Road, and over 600 representatives from various fields, well-known think tanks and industry experts attended the conference.
Dong Zhiyi pointed out that China’s rapid development will provide strong impetus for the “Belt and Road” building. At the same time, the large demand for infrastructure, the great development of international trade and personnel exchanges along the Belt and Road will bring greater market space and more opportunities for cooperation in the development of civil aviation in all countries.
During his stay in Hong Kong, Dong Zhiyi also held talks with Transport and Housing Bureau, Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong and Airport Authority Hong Kong, and conducted investigations and surveys on Hong Kong’s emergency rescue system and its operating model. In addition, Dong Zhiyi also attended the opening ceremony of the 2019 ACI Asia-Pacific/World Annual General Assembly, Conference & Exhibition.
