On October 8, the first China-Central and Eastern European Countries Civil Aviation Forum was held in the Czech Republic. This was the first time that China and CEEC have held a cooperation conference in the field of civil aviation under the framework of 17+1 cooperation, marking a new chapter in international exchanges and cooperation between China and CEEC in the field of civil aviation. Cui Xiaofeng, CAAC Deputy Administrator, Ladislav Němec, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic, Anita Grmelová, Deputy Minister of Foreign Ministry of the Czech Republic, and Dins Merirands, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport of Latvia, delivered speeches at the forum. Chinese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Zhang Jianmin was present at the forum.
The forum consisted of two parts, China-CEEC Civil Aviation Government Forum and General Aviation Business Forum. Discussed during the forum were four topics: air transport and aviation infrastructure connectivity, training for pilots and other staff, general aviation market and operation, optimizing ATM and improving airport operation efficiency, covering such fields as general aviation airworthiness certification, aviation emergency medical services, direct flight and maintenance, pilot training, and air transport distribution systems. More than 110 civil aviation and non-civil aviation representatives from China and 13 Central and Eastern European countries attended the forum.
During the forum, Cui Xiaofeng also had bilateral meetings with Deputy Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic Ladislav Němec, and Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport of Latvia Dins Merirands.
