Facing the situation of the disease, on January 23, CAAC once again issued an emergency notice to the whole industry, requiring Hubei Airports Group to recommend a reduction of Wuhan-related flights operated by transport airlines, and that airlines shall develop a reduction plan for flights to/from Wuhan Airport in a timely manner. It is also advised that civil aviation entities shall adopt measures that are more targeted, in-depth, and sturdy to curb the disease.
For the purpose of protecting the safety of civil aviation staff, CAAC requires all entities of the industry to reinforce individual protection and to adopt protective measures such as wearing masks in crowded places.
It was also pointed out in the Notice that transport airports shall strictly supervise the sales of preventive material in terminal buildings to prohibit price gouging.
Moreover, CAAC also reminds foreign airlines and airlines of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan that are operating flights to/from Wuhan to follow closely the situation and adjust the flights operated by their own airlines when necessary.
