The 7th Batch! CAAC Organizes 23 More Charter Flights Transporting 23 Medical Teams to Assist Hubei21/02/2020

On February 15th, CAAC organized and coordinated the seventh batch of charter flights for the urgent transport of medical teams. A total of 23 charter flights transported nearly 3,000 medical staff and some medical supplies to assist various regions of Hubei.

As required by the State Council’s epidemic joint prevention and control mechanism, 14 airlines, including Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, Hebei Airlines, Shandong Airlines, Jiangxi Airlines, Western Airlines, Chongqing Airlines, Kunming Airlines, Okay Airlines, Colorful Airlines and Beibu Gulf Airlines, dispatched aircraft to transport 23 medical aid teams and medical supplies from 21 provinces (regions, municipalities), including Inner Mongolia, Shanghai, Ningxia, Gansu, Jilin, Tianjin, Hebei, Henan, Anhui, Shandong, Chongqing, Heilongjiang, Hainan, Fujian, Guizhou, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Guangxi, and Yunnan. It should be noted that Okay Airlines and Colorful Airlines volunteered to join the emergency transportation mission at this critical moment.

As of the evening of the day, a total of 21 domestic airlines have performed 204 flights which transported nearly 25,000 persons and more than 1,200 tons of accompanying luggage and supplies.
