To further optimize and improve the policy on flight schedule management, allocate flight schedule resources more efficiently, better serve aviation market players, and speed up the fostering in the civil aviation field of a new development architecture with the domestic cycle as the mainstay, a research team headed by CAAC Deputy Administrator Lyu Erxue visited Shanghai on September 17 for a research on flight schedule management.
Lyu Erxue stressed that as the National Day Golden Week travel peak is approaching, CAAC will, on the premise of ensuring aviation safety and improving on-time performance rate, coordinate the capacity and support capability of airports, encourage airlines to arrange for extra flights on those domestic routes high in demand, and relax restrictions on the flight schedules at regional airports. Such efforts are intended to further energize the market players, drive the recovery of the industry, and allow, as far as practical, airlines to operate based on their needs. All civil aviation units should strictly strengthen their red line awareness, firmly stick to the bottom line for safe operation, strictly enforce operating standards, and achieve a compatibility of the total number of flights operated with the guarantee capability of operation safety, for the ultimate purpose of ensuring aviation safety.
