On June 16, CAAC held the first meeting of the Steering Committee of China Civil Aviation “Belt and Road” Cooperation Platform. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the participants made in-depth assessments on the new situations and challenges faced by the civil aviation “Belt and Road” effort in the regular prevention and control period as well as those that will arise in the post-COVID era. In addition, they discussed work on the civil aviation “Belt and Road” during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Deputy Administrator of CAAC Cui Xiaofeng was present at the meeting and delivered a speech.

It is understood that as of 2020, China has signed bilateral air services agreements with 128 countries or regions, including 103 countries along the “Belt and Road”.
