On July 8, CAAC Deputy Administrator Dong Zhiyi met with Wei Tao, Vice Governor of Shanxi Province, in Beijing. The two sides exchanged in an in-depth manner views on promoting the development of civil aviation in Shanxi Province.

In the first half of 2021, airports in Shanxi Province recorded a passenger traffic of 8.095 million, together with a cargo and mail throughput of 32,000 tons, which recovered to 81.5% and 102.3% of the levels recorded in the same period of 2019 respectively. 86,000 movements were performed, recovering to 85.8% of the level recorded in the same period of 2019.
