On July 13, CAAC Administrator Feng Zhenglin met with Lin Wu, Secretary of Shanxi Provincial Party Committee, in Beijing. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on promoting the development of civil aviation in Shanxi Province. CAAC Deputy Administrator Hu Zhenjiang and Wei Tao, Vice Governor of Shanxi Province, were also present during the visit. It is reported that in the first half of 2021, the civil aviation industry in Shanxi Province saw a respective 81.5% and 102.3% recovery in the number of passengers carried and the amount of cargo and mail transported compared with the 2019 levels. At present, Shanxi Province is served by 289 domestic routes and 36 international routes, leading to the initial formation of an air transport network connecting the province with other domestic cities and some major international destinations.
