On July 21, CAAC Deputy Administrator Lyu Erxue met with Guo Ningning, Vice Governor of Fujian Province, in Beijing. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on promoting the high-quality development of civil aviation in Fujian Province.

It is reported that in recent years, civil aviation industry of Fujian Province has pursued progress while ensuring stability, maintaining good momentum of growth. The annual passenger traffic and cargo and mail volume handled by airports across Fujian Province have respectively exceeded 50 million passengers and 500,000 tons, with the annual passenger traffic at Xiamen Airport and Fuzhou Airport reaching around 30 million and 15 million respectively. At present, Fujian Province is served by 340 domestic routes and 51 international routes, leading to the initial formation of an air transport network connecting the province with other domestic cities and some major destinations in Europe, America and Asia.
