On October 13, Feng Zhenglin, Administrator of CAAC, met with Ying Yong, Secretary of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee and Wang Zhonglin, Governor of Hubei Province, and their staff. The two sides exchanged views in an in-depth way on promoting the high-quality development of civil aviation in Hubei. Hu Zhenjiang, Deputy Administrator of CAAC, attended the meeting.

According to statistics, in the first three quarters of 2021, the passenger throughput, cargo and mail throughput, and flight operations in Hubei Province reached 20.82 million, 234 thousand tons and 272 thousand movements respectively, representing a year-on-year increase of 98.8%, 86.6% and 70.4% respectively, with the cargo and mail throughput recovering to 121.7% of that of 2019.
