On December 29, the reporter learned from the video conference on the preparation for Beijing-Guangzhou Air Corridor Development and the first meeting of the Leading Group on Beijing-Guangzhou Air Corridor Development that, the passage is now under full-scale development. Stretching more than 2,000 kilometers from north to south across China, the corridor is set to be fully completed. Lyu Erxue, CAAC Deputy Administrator, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

It is reported that the development of Beijing-Guangzhou Air Corridor leads to airspace adjustment to the largest extent since the founding of PRC. As the core of the air transport network throughout China, Beijing-Guangzhou Air Corridor links world-class city clusters in both Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, thus gaining a foothold of great strategic significance.
