On December 30, CAAC Deputy Administrator Dong Zhiyi paid a fact-finding visit to Beijing Daxing International Airport (Daxing Airport) to look into details concerning COVID-19 prevention and control, flight operation in winter and air transport support for the Spring Festival travel rush.

Dong Zhiyi visited different parts of Daxing Airport, including terminal, AOC, west control tower of ATC center, the airfield and Xingguang Sharing Innovation Studio to learn about flight operation in winter, air transport support for the Spring Festival travel rush and COVID-19 prevention and control. Besides, Dong examined facilities for air transport during Spring Festival and nucleic acid testing stations, attended preliminary presentations themed “National Demonstration Base for Patriotism Education” and “The Pillars of a Great Power”, and reviewed the planning report of tourist scenery facilities to be built at Daxing Airport.
