On January 13, Dong Zhiyi, Deputy Administrator of CAAC, met with a delegation led by Wang Yong, Vice Chairman of Tibet Autonomous Region in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views in an in-depth way on promoting high-quality development of civil aviation in Tibet, particularly on such topics as infrastructure construction and development of air cargo.

It is learned that the five transport airports within Tibet handled 6.031 million passengers, 50 000 tons of cargo and mail and 60 000 movements in 2021, with a year-on-year increase of 17%, 5.9% and 21% respectively.
