Dong Zhiyi, Deputy Administrator of CAAC and Chairman of National Civil Aviation Trade Union, paid a visit to Capital Airport on January 28, extending greetings to staff representatives from CAAC North Regional Administration, Air China, China National Aviation Fuel Group and Capital Airports Holding Company and offering them New Year couplets as gifts.

On behalf of CAAC and National Civil Aviation Trade Union, Dong Zhiyi expressed thanks to the entities stationed at the Capital Airport for their hard work and extended sincere congratulations to them for their achievements in 2021. He remarked that the staff of these entities fought on the four frontlines of pandemic prevention and control, safe development, Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games and Chunyun, or the Spring Festival travel rush; they made the greatest effort to ensure the safe and stable operation of the civil aviation industry, thus making possible peaceful and smooth travel for the general public. Dong then indicated that the positioning of the civil aviation industry as an important national strategic industry was more pronounced, the goal of building a civil aviation powerhouse clearer and the foundation for high-quality development more solid despite the unprecedented difficulties facing the industry. Dong urged all the staff to step up pandemic response, support safe civil aviation operation and speed up the recovery of the industry.
