On January 27, CAAC held an industry-wide video conference to convey the recent instructions made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on COVID-19 prevention and control and the specific requirements of the Party Group of CAAC and to make plans for stepping up COVID-19 response. Deputy Administrator of CAAC Cui Xiaofeng attended the conference and emphasized the importance of COVID-19 containment in the civil aviation sector as it is a vital part of nationwide COVID-19 containment efforts and concerns the economic and social development of the country, the safe and healthy travel of the public as well as the recovery of the industry; and the whole industry shall reinforce implementation of prevention and control measures, consolidate the hard-won achievements and build an “iron bastion”, thereby providing strong support for Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, the Spring Festival and the “Two Sessions”.
