Feng Zhenglin Goes to the Capital Airport to Supervise and Inspect Preparations for the Departure Peak of the Winter Olympics04/03/2022

On February 20, Feng Zhenglin, Administrator of CAAC, went to the Capital Airport to supervise and inspect preparations for the departure peak of the Winter Olympics, so as to ensure that Olympic-related personnel can come to and leave China safely and quickly. Deputy Administrator Lyu Erxue also participated in the supervision.

Feng and his entourage inspected the on-site guarantee work in the closed loop of the Capital Airport T3 remotely and listened to the report on the transfer of domestic flights and the preparations at T3 for the departure peak. Later, they visited the International VIP Area and the south side building of the T3 to inspect the centralized departure of oversized luggage.

Feng acknowledged that all support entities have successfully supported the entry of Olympic-related personnel into China. Since Beijing Winter Olympics is about to conclude, the civil aviation personnel will face another arduous but glorious task, which is to help Olympic-related personnel leave China safely and quickly. In the adjustment of domestic flights at T3 for the departure peak, all support entities exhibited strong political determination and keen awareness of the overall situation. They responded actively without delay. Announcements were released timely to keep passengers informed of the flight schedule, which achieved good social response. In the upcoming departure peak of the Winter Olympics, all entities must continue to enhance their political standing and awareness and safeguard the bottom line of safe operation and COVID-19 prevention and control. They must efficiently coordinate emergency response to contribute to the successful conclusion of this Winter Olympics.
