CAAC Issues Circuit-breaker Orders for Several Flights11/03/2022

Recently, CAAC issued circuit-breaker orders suspending several flights.

According to CAAC, seven cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight KQ880 (Nairobi to Guangzhou) by Kenya Airways which entered China on February 19. Starting from March 14, the flight will be suspended for 2 weeks. Five cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight OS75 (Vienna to Shanghai) by Austrian Airlines which entered China on February 19. Starting from March 7, the flight will be suspended for 2 weeks.

Five cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight QV815 (Vientiane to Kunming) by Lao Airlines which entered China on February 20. Starting from March 7, the flight will be suspended for 2 weeks. Five cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight MH376 (Kuala Lumpur-Guangzhou) by Malaysia Airlines entering China on February 21. Considering Flight MH390 (Kuala Lumpur-Xiamen) is the award flight of Flight MH376, starting from March 14, Flight MH376 will be suspended for 2 weeks, and Flight MH390 will be cancelled. Seven cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight SQ830 (Singapore to Shanghai) by Singapore Airlines which entered China on February 21. Starting from March 21, the flight will be suspended for 2 weeks. The quotas for the above-mentioned flights shall not be transferred to other routes.
