On March 2, CAAC Administrator Feng Zhenglin, met with Wang Ning, Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee, in Beijing. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on promoting the high-quality development of civil aviation in Yunnan. Lyu Erxue, Deputy Administrator of CAAC, and Yang Bin, Vice Governor of Yunnan Province, also attended the event.

In 2021, the passenger throughput in Yunnan Province stood at 47.711 million, and cargo and mail throughput reached 430,000 tons. The province has 15 civil transport airports, 666 passenger and cargo routes, connecting 185 domestic and foreign cities, including 43 cities in South Asia and Southeast Asia.
