On March 3, CAAC held a video conference on COVID-19 prevention and control in line with the State Council’s Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism, which aims to deploy and strengthen key prevention and control tasks for NPC and CPPCC Sessions and the Beijing Winter Paralympics. Deputy Administrator of CAAC Cui Xiaofeng, attended the conference and delivered a speech.

Cui Xiaofeng acknowledged the achievements of previous prevention and control work by civil aviation entities. Based on the changing situation with new characteristics and needs, he put forward three requirements, i.e., first, maintain a high degree of vigilance and have a clear understanding of the current COVID-19 situation which is severe and complex; second, enhance the awareness of responsibility and implement prevention and control measures in a strict manner; third, keep an eye on the dynamics of the industry so as to carry out effective supervision, inspection and rectification.
