On March 9, CAAC issued circuit-breaker orders suspending eight flights.
According to CAAC, five cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight KE831 (Seoul to Shenyang) by Korean Air which entered China on February 25. Starting from March 14, the flight will be suspended for 2 weeks. Five cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight TW605 (Seoul to Jinan) by t'way Air which entered China on February 25. Considering Flight TW605 (Seoul to Jinan) was the award flight of Flight TW615 (Seoul to Wuhan), starting from March 14, Flight TW615 will be suspended for 2 weeks, and Flight TW605/6 will be cancelled. Seven cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight CA124 (Seoul to Beijing) by Air China which entered China on February 25. Considering Flight CA140 (Seoul to Hangzhou) is the award flight of Flight CA124 (Seoul to Beijing), starting from March 14, Flight CA124 will be suspended for 2 weeks, and Flight CA139/140 will be cancelled. Five cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight QW9902 (Seoul to Qingdao) by Qingdao Airlines entering China on February 26. Considering Flight QW9902 (Seoul to Qingdao) had been allowed to operate one additional frequency per week based on a previous incentive, starting from March 14, the one weekly frequency awarded to Flight QW9901/9902 will be cancelled, and Flight QW9902 will be suspended for 2 weeks. Seven cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight BS325 (Dhaka to Guangzhou) by US-Bangla Airlines which entered China on February 27. Starting from March 14, the flight will be suspended for 2 weeks. Five cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight MH376 (Kuala Lumpur to Guangzhou) by Malaysia Airlines which entered China on February 28. Starting from March 28, the flight will be suspended for 2 more weeks. Ten cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight PR314 (Manila to Tianjin) by Philippine Airlines which entered China on March 2. Starting from March 21, the flight will be suspended for 4 weeks. Twelve cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Flight LO93 (Warsaw to Tianjin) by LOT Polish Airlines which entered China on March 3. Starting from April 18, the flight will be suspended for 4 more weeks. The quotas for the above-mentioned flights shall not be transferred to other routes.
